Wozniak advances, Dubois falters

The Canadian women earned a split during first-round action at Wimbledon on Tuesday.
Aleksandra Wozniak, of Blainville, Que., defeated Russia's Vera Dushevina in straight sets 6-2, 7-5 in one hour 18 minutes.
Wozniak will take on Jie Zheng from China, who eliminated Stephanie Dubois, of Laval, Que., 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
On the men's side, world No. 22 Milos Raonic, of Thornhill, Ont., faces Colombia's Santiago Giraldo while Vancouver's Vasek Pospisil meets Sam Querry of the U.S. later in the day.
