Family Day at the Market 0
It was Family Fun Day Thursday as the Morden Farmers Market again packed them in on another warm summer day.
In addition to all of the usual features that draw the crowds each week, there were activities for the kids as well.
The market began June 21, and it will run each Thursday from 4-6:30 p.m. until the fall as long as produce and supplies make it possible.
Mostly local, the vendors originate from across southern Manitoba but mostly from between Manitou and Altona and Elm Creek.
The market has seen some new additions such as a gluten-free vendor and alpaca fur products, though market-goers will still have their regular produce, fresh baking and crafts vendors to visit.
And there are a number of vendors serving ready to eat food, and they will be setting up some tables in the Kinsmen Suncatch area for dining.
There will also be number of other special events through the season as well - ranging from the Family Day to the farmers market feast sometime in September.
The Morden Farmers Market has an online presence as well that can be found at mordenmarket.wordpress.com.
