Morden police make drug bust 0
Two men are facing charges after a drug bust by Morden police this past weekend.
The Morden Police Service acted on a search warrant July 28 at a west end home. It was unoccupied when police entered the home.
Seized were marihuana plants at various stages of maturity along with grow equipment and related paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the drugs and goods was around $70,000.
Two men, aged 28 and 34, were later taken into custody and have been charged with possession of marihuana and possession for the purpose for trafficking. They will be appearing in Morden Provincial Court at a later date.
Meanwhile, a 26 year old female resident later turned herself in and will also be charged and was released on a promise to appear in court.
In addition, there were three children living in the residence, and Child and Family Services continue to investigate.
