Tune in to a speaking God

Is it really possible to hear the “voice of God” in our present day?

Author and teacher Brad Jersak says it is, and Seeds Church in Altona will host a conference called Tuning in to the God who Speaks.

The conference will feature Abbotsford, B.C. teacher and author Brad Jersak and take place Feb. 8 to 9.

A simple practice

Jersak, who attends Fresh Wind Christian Fellowship, teaches through his books and seminars that anyone can learn to hear God’s voice through the simple practice of listening prayer.

“His heart is to share the good news that God is Love and that God’s love was shown to us perfectly in Jesus of Nazareth,” a press release stated.

“Those who practice listening prayer find that god’s love heals wounded hearts and empowers them to heal this broken world,” it added.

Brad Jersak’s book Can You Hear Me? Tuning in to the God Who Speaks, trains readers in this technique.

“This book provides biblical teaching and 33 practical exercises for tuning in to God’s voice,” the press release stated.

The conference is open to everyone and will take place at the eXchange building at 116 Main St. in Altona.

There is no registration fee, but organizers say a freewill offering will take place during the sessions to cover expenses.

For more information and to reserve a spot, go to the website at www.seedschurch.ca or phone 204-324-1359.

Organizers say there is already lots of interest in the event.
