Elks give back to community

The Morden Elks recently distributed $12,000 raised in their Cash is King lottery. This year local youth sports and activities were the recipients of the money. Receiving funding from Exalted Ruler, Ray Kirk were: Hockey Breakfast Club - Brian McElroy, Morden Minor Baseball - Nathan Pitt, Morden Minor Hockey - Steve Mullen, Morden Junior Curling Club - Kevin Convery, Thornhill Hall Playground - Scott Andrew, Winkler Bible Camp Summer Camp Fund - Dale Wiebe. Funding will also be provided to construct a rest area, consisting of two benches along the walking path on the Minnewasta Golf Course. The Morden Elks thanks all who purchased tickets to make these donations happen.
