For the 21st year in a row, the Tempo Festival of the Arts will highlight the various artistic and performative talents of residents in Carman and the surrounding area.

The Tempo Festival of the Arts, held in a number of Carman facilities, offers amateur musicians, dancers, singers and speech performers the opportunity to perform and be adjudicated in a non-competitive festival.

The annual event runs for two weeks in April, hosting performances in choral, dance, piano, speech arts, and vocal categories.

The past few years have seen increased participation and increased enthusiasm for the festival and all it has to offer, especially for local students.

Schedule

On April 10 and 11, Speech Arts, Vocal and Choral categories will be held at the Carman United Church.

On April 13, Dance will be adjudicated at the Carman Collegiate Community Theatre

And on April 16, 17 and 18, piano recitals will be held at the Canadian Reformed Church and the Carman United Church.

The festival will conclude with a Highlights Concert on April 19 to showcase some outstanding performers. The concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Carman Collegiate Community Theatre, and all are welcome to attend.
