Hi-Lites Concert caps off festival

MORDEN - 

The Morden Festival of the Arts capped off its season with the Hi-Lites Concert, held April 29 at the Morden Alliance Church.
Attendees experienced the five of the six disciplines showcased at the festival including strings, sacred, piano, vocal and speech arts.
Fifty-seven awards were presented.
Speech Arts: Rory Perrin, Ian Fehrmoore, Rylee Olafson, Daniel Kagan, Sarah Kagan, Ethan Radke, Jane Borne, Bijan Salimi, Keelyn L’Heureux, Rebecca Kagan, Rhett Perrin, Cambree Martens, Kristin Smart.
Duet, Trio or Quartet: K-3 Carys Jenner & Sinead Convery, 4-6 Jaxon Forster, Keely Sheppard & Jood Abujazia, 7-9 Cambree Martens & Mei Stoesz-Gouthro.
Strings: Aidan Kroeker, Phoenix Wiebe, Alison Convery, Thomas Kroeker, Sam Bergen, Jake Sanders, Paxer Derksen, Maria Bergen, Jennifer Wall, Ben Wiens, Anjali Cedar, Sam Kroeker, Beth Giesbrecht, Nya Dubyk, Micah Loewen.

Many students were also recommended to compete at the provincial level.

The Loreena McKennit Award was announced for Micah Loewen.
