Spring is in the air, and it’s time to shine!
A great way to celebrate the start of this beautiful new season is to enjoy this year’s Spring Flourish Creative Market.
This market will include about 30 vendors, showcasing and selling things like: jewellery, pottery, weaving and macrame, health and beauty, as well as bath and spa products.
There will also be items for kids, home decor, concrete items, candles, and much much more!
Furever Friends Cat Rescue will also be there with some of their furry friends who need a forever home.
Live music will be provided by Liam Martin and Kenzie Jane.
The first 20 guests will get a swag bag filled with gifts and coupons from each attending maker.
The Spring Flourish Creative Market will be held May 5 from 5-10 p.m. at The Exchange, 116 Main Street, Altona.
Admission is by donation to Furever Friends Cat Rescue from Altona.
Cafe service will be available by donation to Furever Friends.
Organizer Lindsay Hildebrandt says showcasing your creativity can inspire others.
“I know that seeing other people’s work really inspires me,” she says.
“Markets like this are important because they give makers a space to physically represent their talent and by giving community members the opportunity to support them by attending and purchasing their products. It’s important to share their name with their community, as well to promote further opportunity. Some of our makers work at their craft as a hobby, part time, and even full time! It also brings the community together, and the people who really appreciate hand-crafted items have an outlet to shop from.”
