Morden was one of 140 communities across Canada hosting an MS Walk on May 27 with the local group raising more than $18,000.
Organizer Claire Agnew shared a personal story of how MS has impacted her family, adding its important to support people with MS.
“My sister Joan, had her first symptom of losing sight in her left eye in 1991. She was officially diagnosed in 1995, and our family has participated in the walk ever since,” she said.
Morden-Winkler MLA and Finance Minister Cameron Friesen also thanked participants for coming out.
Morden Massage Therapy was also on hand to donate $900 to the cause.
