In early 2016, due to the seriousness of my illness, I was directed to seek help from from medical specialists in a major hospital in Winnipeg.
They suggested that to save travel and time some of my secondary medical procedures could be performed locally in Carman.
This has proved to be a very positive arrangement.
In a number of serious emergency situations I called on local medical staff for help.
In spite of being asked to play a secondary role, I marveled at the excellent courtesy, the competence, and wise counsel received from staff locally.
My recent experience has given me a new appreciation for our local hospital.
As a community we can be very proud of this “healing resource” available to us locally.
